If you're confused, you're not...anyway, I opted out on that last post...i see things circulating in the media and tend to be reactionary (as you all know) without thinking. sorry folks...
anyway...here's to PRE-SEED! I'm hoping to try this stuff out this month. I have to consult with a neuro-surgeon about a disk tear next week before trying again. Hopefully, this won't hinder anything. Long...sigh...
yesterday we took the day off from working and celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. It was a very pleasant and much-needed mid-week break from our current, very busy-bee days!
Our lives are kinda harried right now in the start-up phase of our business, and no one understands what we're doing or that we haven't got a lot of time to do much of anything else (which is sometimes frustrating). But, I can understand that if you've never tried to start a business, how could you really know? I think, initially, people think it's easy and you have more time because you're at home. That could be true much later on after the business is up and running, but, it is not true when you're building the business. The key, in the long-term, is for our lives to have more flexibility and to not have to answer to some idiotic lazy-ass boss. Anyway, it is both a challenging time and exciting time, for us, working at home and working together as home-business entrepreneurs.
Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Morton Arboretum here in Chicago. The weather was perfect and, even though the summer is winding down, we still got to view a number of lovely flowers and greenery. I particularly liked the garden maze. But the tree sanctuary itself is far too big to see in a day unless, you get there when they open. This gives us an excuse to keep going back ;)
So, a business start-up phase is hard work and risky, but there is nothing I enjoy more than being Dave's business partner and, hangin' out too. We're a Bozo duo, no doubt. Though, he is more daredevil, and I am more clown. Below, is a handful of photos from yesterday. I hope my rants aren't being missed too much and I hope everyone is looking forward to fall!
and at least I'm taking some time to notice! (Pats self on back)

Mary Lou Retton was a favorite gymnast of mine back in the 80's. I believe she was the first American woman to win a gold medal in gymnastics! Now, she's 40 years old!! Hard to imagine, really. Unfortuantely, she has suffered from hip dysplasia, which is a birth defect, overactive bladder and arthritis. I can sympathize with her and I'm no gymnast! She's actually already had a hip replacement! She also has 4 daughters and loves being a mom. Here is a video from her gold medal Olympic performance:
This is Mary Lou now at the age of 40:
to the normal human being, but there was no way I was gonna pass these up while they were on sale! I get the whole box of 'em to myself because the pictures creaped Dave out.
On a healthier note...hehe...Tis the Season...these so juicy, running down your chin white peaches are to die for! I mean, God is sitting up there on his throne thinkin', what the heck? I made these peaches and those fools are eating Barbie Pop Tarts? What a mess...
